04 Subaru WRX STi or equivalent 04 EVO 8?

Postby adrian » Thu Nov 01, 2007 5:05 pm

Hi all,

THINKING about a change... as I usually am. Thinking I would love an EVO 8 or an STi. Lets say that both cars in question are ~300 BHP models...what do peeps prefer on this site? I am thinking I am more an EVO man.... but the WRX STi is probably a better looking beast and a better driver day to day??

For me the Evo wins on looks - but the sound of the Subaru unit is just awesome..

Between those two I think I'd go for the Evo. Maybe that's just because I'm a Mitsubishi whore though. Generally I don't like either - I'm a coupe man - but the Evo X is gorgeous. I assume that's out of your price range though. ;)

Just out of interest why on Earth would you want to change from a Porche to either of those. :o

I think we're a little biased here... go for the Mitsi.

I know, I know.... I am always looking, that's all... always wrecking my own head! :D

That and the fact that I have a baby so would be more usable, but that's not really an issue to be honest. As I say... just looking!!

I love the look of the Subaru more I think....dunno how reliable they both are though....

Both are a bit too agressive looking for my FTO styled taste but if I had to make a decision, I'd go for the EVO.

Evo for me too - drove an EVO VII RS not so long ago and it was pretty quick - much nicer looking than the scooby too.

Both would be quite a change from the Porsche.

That's very true!

You could spend all the money you'd save on a Turbo conversion, eh eh? ;)

John is on the look out for both these cars now as well ,He took an evo 8 out with 400bhp and it was very very fast he said he might go for the evo himself He thinks they look better and thats from an STI man but he want to take an sti out as well then he will make up his mind ,We have kids too so we need the bigger car as well. In no hurry to get 1 so he is waiting till he see 1 he likes.

Evo, simply because the sound of the Subaru's boxer engine got on my nerves when I had one for the weekend.
