You sure the rims are 8" - I've got 8x18's with 225's and the tyre is pretty much the same width as the rim - can't see a 255 fitting on there without the tyre sidewall hanging/drooping off the side of the wheel. I'm actually considering getting a set of 8.5" rims onto which I'll fit the 225's for a slightly stretched look (and if my alloy is bust this is what I'll probably do).
