Was driving home the other when i noticed what i thought was smoke coming from the bonnet, when i checked it looked like there was an oil leak from somewhere above the gearbox. but i checked the oil level and it hadn't dropped at all. As it was night time i left it till the morning for a bit of daylight to inspect further. I removed the airbox pipe to see in clearly and what seemed to be oil now seems to be very rusty water that some how leaked from the small pipe coming from the coolant tower( although im not 100% thats the source) i checked the coolant recevoir which now was nearly empty but the water is filty( bought the car cheap is in need of a lot of love). so im hoping it was water and not oil.
My questions are if that story made sense
1: has anybody had a similar situation ?
and 2: is there a solution that you can flush through the water system to rid it of rust and give it a general cleaning (other than fresh water lol)
