I need to get a plastic sign made up (approx 3ft x 2ft), does anyone know of folks in the business?

Leave it with me n ill do some askin, got signs done up for work so ill let you know. You could get a tin of dulux and an 8 x 4 sheet of marine ply Better still an auld spray can and a duvet cover?

Very good suggestions Bull but I'd be concerned about the end result (not that emulsion+ply or spray paint +a sheet are unprofessional looking in any way).

A mate of mine has a print business in Longford (Will deliver anywhere). He prints anything on anything! Does signs too, perhaps he can do whatever you're looking for.
