No Power

Basic question.

When I turn the key nothing happens. There is no sound of the engine trying to start with a flat battery.

Any ideas where to start looking for the problem.

thanks.

hello and wellcome to the forum

sounds to me that the starter motor has failed.
you can take it down and try to clean it yourself but that would't guarantee that it will work after that ..
so best thing to do is get a new one

www.camskill.co.uk

is the battery good?

Are the lights coming on at the dash?

Do you have an immobiliser by any chance? If I don't turn mine off I get that - doesn't try to turn over or anything, just get nothing.

Or is one of the 40A fuses in the engine box gone? If none of the lights in the dash are coming on this is worth a look.
