You learn something new....

Didn't realise the V6 MIVEC engine didn't actually debut on the FTO, it was on a car called the Mitsubishi Eterna Visage R. It was also in the Galant VX-R and 1994 Emeraude Super Touring R.

This MIVEC engine was available with a modulated displacement option which increased fuel economy by shutting off some of the cylinders when the engine wasn't under load.

with changing the timing belt in the FTO im using a guide for a galant. 6a12 it seems to be the exact same bottom block jut just we hav e a mivec head

Not surprising, the FTO shares a lot of non-engine parts with the Eterna.

Did you know that the MIVEC engine was first made available in a MIVEC?
