I was walking around my estate tonight, and happened to notice a car with no tax, just for the fun I thought I'd do a bit of a quick survey and see exactly how many people get away with what, I only checked the cars outside my house, about 15 in all including our own, and out of those, 6 were not legal.
I'm posting this cause if it as one of us? In a modified or sports car? We'd be going a total of 100 yards and no doubt get stopped! I'm not even going to go into the detail of the amount of cars that havent been registered and are going around on foreign regs for the last 2 or 3 years, and neither am I singling out foreign cars in this either, just in case anyone thinks I am, I'm singling out every type, and every nationality on this one. I dont see why we (young drivers, car enthuasists, whatever you want to call us) get hounded and there are people like this all over. I didnt know the scale of it till I walked the estate tonight.

No tax, insurance, nct, nothing!

Nice try, but thats actually 2 NCT discs!!!

How did they get away for so long with this one? Answer? Since at least December 2007!
Image

Not too bad but still no nct and tax and insurance out, only by a few days, give the benefit of the doubt to this one, maybe.

There were 2 more I couldnt picture, one had no tax and insurance but had nct, the other had no tax since december last. Like I said, thats the tip of the iceberg, why are we even paying for tax and insurance if no-one else will?

I call carma... it is a pain in the ass knowing this goes on but still you rat them out and would easily come and bite you in the ass I recon....

But it is truly shocking how little people care out important issues like this

I think we've all driven without tax at some stage.

Obviously driving without insurance is completely wrong.

I agree. I can forgive a person for being a bit late on the tax, we've all been there for one reason or another, but insurance is a whole other story IMO.

I agree with all of the above..

I'm taxed and insured on the vr4 (even tho it's on uk plates)...the fto is insured, but not taxed..

which is alright, seeing as it's not actually driving anywhere..

that 1st car isn't irish... maybe where ever it's from (cant tell) has a system in place similar to Denmark where if you dont pay your road tax your plates will either be collected from your household or next time your car is spotted you're 110% certain to get pulled over and your plates removed..

after that you'll have 24hours to remove your car from public roads or it will be removed for you, and you will incour a daily charge.. this also applies if your NCT isn't up to date... only exception is if you can prove that you've attempted to book a time and you've been referred to a later date.

As Dan says, I'm not going to do anything cause it could be me next time. I know we all sometimes forget about tax for a few days or weeks, but not months, or in the case of one of these cars years!!

Why should other people get away with it when we law abiding citizens pay our taxes?

I'd be very tempted to tell...
