In Lapland and going to visit Santa :)

I'm in Finland for training right now - just inside the arctic circle and close to Santa's village in a place called Rovaniemi I've been reading about the weather at home and I'm almost afraid to come home - even though we're so far north the weather here hasn't been too bad - apart from a constant mist and the lack of sunlight the temps have been ok - too warm sometimes and we've had a few races cancelled as a result (not enough snow believe it or not). We're finishing up this weekend (home on Monday) so we're gonna go visit Santa on the way home

Olympics eh? you must be fairly handy on the aul planks so.. Hope you get selected as well, I like watching the winter olympics, just never really have anybody to root for..

Aye, it's pretty low key being a non-snow nation. I was supposed to hang up the boots after last season (5th World Champs in Val d'Isere) but it was my best season ever and I made qualification for Vancouver easily so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Non ski nation or not someone that makes world championships etc is big news and should have full support behind them! Well done!
