WANTED: Passenger window

Postby Wildhound » Sun Mar 14, 2010 3:30 pm

I'm assuming these are the same on all models, somebody correct me if I'm wrong please!

I need one if anyone has one sitting around, somebody smashed mine yesterday.

I'm pretty sure Sebastian has a few of these.

Sorry to hear that, hope nothing was taken.

I was actually driving at the time. There were some kids on the side of the road who legged it straight away so I'm assuming they threw something. No other damage at least so it could have been worse!

Most insurance companies cover broken glass, without affecting your NCB...?

Limekiln Road in Greenhills. I chased the kids down and called the guards but the parents gave it the old "my kids would NEVER do that" and there's not much they can do at that stage. Hopefully it gave them enough of a fright that they won't do it again, or at least the parents will open their eyes next time the guards are at the door.

Gfalls: I don't have windscreen cover and I'm with Quinn so I expect they wouldn't be much help ;) I picked a window up cheap enough from Sebastian and I can fit it myself so it's not too bad.

Quite a handy job replacing the window. Did it Tuesday evening. Biggest pain was getting the glass out of the door, and some found its way into the door lock too which jammed it up for a bit until I freed it up with some wiggling and persuasion.
Currently in my collection:
'98 Toyota Starlet...
'79 Mini Clubman 1380cc ~100BHP (I hope)
'79 BMW 728
