ITG filters etc.

Postby Colin C » Mon Jan 30, 2006 8:42 am

Guys I'm looking to get a few parts for the new car ('95 GPX manual to be picked up during the week....... fingers crossed) & was wondering does anyone know of anywhere in Ireland for getting these or am I better going to the likes of camskill etc. If so does anyone know what sort of shipping costs there are for shipping internationally? I'm looking to get an ITG Air filter & change the steeringwheel, gearknob & maybe a few other cosmetic bits and pieces. Has anyone else used the ITG filter? Reading up on the ftooc website they seem to be the best filter for performance V's cost. Also If people have used them or other performance filters have they declared them to their insurance or is there any need as it is just a filter replacement rather then a full induction kit?

I'm using an ITG and am very happy with it - makes sense to get a cold air induction kit on there - don't expect much power increase but it does make a nice sound. I don't know of any Irish insurance requirement for declaring Induction mods - I know in the UK you need to declare an induction kit but theres no need to declare a filter not that theres much of a difference between them.

I changed the steering wheel, gearknob and gaiter and handbrake and gaiter (all Isotta) - and dials - http://www.fto-ireland.com/meets/Dublin ... 70089.html

Camskill is the best place IMO for the ITG - v good response time - nicely packaged - relatively inexpensive courier costs.

Got my ITG filter last night and fitted it this morning. I'm chuffed with it :D . Don't know wheather it makes much difference to power but the sound when the engine is reving in the MIVEC range is sweet.
