Not sure i get what you mean - surely if you blend it regardless of whether or not its one piece or 3 pieces it'll all be filled/moulded into one piece.
Theres a lot of work getting this skirt blended - been down this road myself before -
Actually cut the tops of the DC skirt to acheive this look-
