Only thing I notice is that on the users online it shows one of the users in grey, and the user name is googleabsence[bot], is there a filter to stop bots and spamming robots from logging in as false users?

This refers to the ad at the bottom of the page (Google Adsense), nothing to be too concerned about.
It appears that notification emails aren't being sent to users subscribed to threads, I'm working on this.

Seb, this is now fixed.
The issue with notification emails not being sent has also been resolved.

Brilliant!
My dodgy (vodafone powered) internet sometimes decides to disconnect.
Usually when I log back in all the unread posts are reset... not so the new forum.

Fair play to CJ and all involved, it does look great. Granted, it might take a little bit of adjusting to it, but I really like it.
Congrats!

I've noticed it seems to take an age to load, or is it just me?

Agreed, excellent work. It'll take adjusting to like everything else new but that'll come too!

Love the new look (both forum and main site)... very clean and fresh looking.
Two things I've noticed though:
On the Board Index, Categories are no longer highlighted if there are unread posts within.
Don't know if you can fix this or not. Either way, excellent work

Categories with unread posts are indicated by a red image, admittedly its not as obvious as the old style, take a second look.
Good point, could be tough to fix but would be well worth doing, I'll look into it.....

Note that I've resolved this issue with a simple fix (using virtual directories at the web server level for those who are interested). All old forum links in threads should work now.
Thanks for pointing this one out Baldrick.

Hi CJ,
Me again... Being a nuisance
I liked the way that links in posts used to open in a new window/tab. This is no longer the case (I know I can Ctrl+Click etc.). I liked the old way as I could keep my place while methodically reading unread posts and yet follow tangents.
I realise that this might be my preference only and others might not agree.
Still loving the new format.
Paddy.

I liked the old way too Paddy so I've put a fix to make it so! Heres the reason why it changed:
phpbb.com wrote:Compared to phpBB3, links in phpBB2 had a slightly different behaviour: When you clicked them, they opened a new window with the requested page. This was changed in phpBB3 for a couple of reasons, but one of the most important ones was the goal to achieve XHTML 1.0 Strict-validation for the whole board.
