WANTED (Brake Lines)

Postby irish-fto » Wed Sep 26, 2007 4:19 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know where I could get break lines. My car failed the NCT  cause some of the brake lines were rusted slightly. Any ideas how much they would cost also?

Thanks for the help

I know a place that makes them... at first I found it a bit disturbing - but the owner assured me that this was common practise... they're called 123auto or something similar.. they're on the road to ongar..

If you're in the Dublin region I'll find you a phone number..

Whereabouts are the brake lines rusted?

Maybe Steelroe/Ricerocket would be able to come up with a replacement from a broken FTO...

my mechanic made some up for my old car before, when it failed the NCT. much like a plumber bends copper pipes. Not sure if it would affect the braking performance of the car, mine seemed fine and passed the NCT no problem

A few of my colleagues have used them and haven't had issues..

I've seen some of their work and it looks alright .. spoke to the owner about gettining my front wing fixed he gave me a quote...but after having a nose about I discovered that they don't seem to have an oven... so I left it at that..
