Well he knows how to present the car for sale. It looks very tidy, so he called it a type R he also called it a GPX, what matters is the car not the description. Pricey though.
I realise that in an information age it's very easy to find facts, and admittedly he is in the owners club(that just means he paid a subscription, it does not mean he has any involvement) However the fact that he is not a computer nerd who spends his time dotting the eye's and crossing the T's looking up facts and figures about model and spec and details, does not detract from the car.
Someone buys a little known of import car, it has a tyre R sticker on it, he thinks no more of it, and assumes it's a tyre R of some kind. Hardly make him an idiot

What makes this a bit funny is that he has the "VersionR" sticker in one of the pictures..

I do think that the guy actually knows that they're not called "type r" as he has it in inverted commas in his title... but I'm not sure why he'd market it to people that don't know - when he's clearly trying to sell it as a super-duper-original piece of machinery..

pitty there aren't more pics, looks fairly clean..

I love the sticker on the back window. Its some sort of warning about not using the rear wiper, if the screen is covered in ice/snow..

Shane, you're just jealous coz you've never had a 425bhp type R like me.

In all seriousness though, if you bought the car and didn't do any research and really thought it was a type r, then you'd be the bigger idiot.

It's a GPX, no more no less...

In fairness, He's aiming it at people who know, on a site for people who are into cars, not A to B machines.

And the sticker does actually say Version R, no mistake there.

Type R, Version R. It may be neither. but no need to be so anal people.
I know it's cold outside, but leave the anoraks at home. Any outsider looking at this thread must be thinking "what a crowd of sad car bores" seriously people take a reality check. :smt079

Well, this anal, anorak wearing, computer nerd / sad car bore just thought he'd point it out. What with it being an FTO forum and all. :!:

I'd like to point out that I haven't worn an anorak since Junior Infants!
As for an anal "sad car bore" - guilty as charged.

"What's cooler than being cold?"

The trick is to get the AirCon Gas topped up.. alternatively as we're in ireland you could also opt for opening the window...that'd get you ice cold on most days..
