knocking sound coming from passenger side rear area?

I had a look today and done the checks you do to find what's at fault with the suspension. I bounced the car on all four corners and everything seems fine. The knock sound comes from the passenger rear wheel area any slight bump or pot hole on the surface and it makes a little thud or a knock sound. Here are some pics I took for you guys to hopefully help me out and point me in the right direction. How can you tell if you have a knackered bush? And the last pic shows you the top of the shocks. The top of it has a little nob that you can turn and set. So one way will make it stiff and the other not stiff. Which way is for the stiff?

you will have to get a pry bar and lever every bushing to see if there is to much play. most the time checking by eye will not show you.

Check all the bushes as Danny say, then you will know fir sure, but most likely if thats not your dog bones its the
Bottom susppension to trailing arm bush.

Hi.
Are those tein super street coilovers? They look like them. I have the same set on my Vr. Had a very annoying knock I couldn't pin down for ages. Tried everything. Eventually figured out its the damper part of the shock. If you take the unit out, remove the spring etc and just push the damper rod in and out, it will make the knocking.
For some reason it looks and works perfect just makes that really annoying knocking. Only takes a few mins to check.

Gino I don't know if they are what you Say cos I can't really tell cos of the state it's in. I can read TEN on it that's about it. Did u cure the knocking Like getting new shocks? Cos it's bloody annoying!

Ha they are tein shocks I'd say. Only cure is a new shock. It will drive you mad if you leave it.

Yes mate your probably right. I'm gonna change the bushes then the shocks and it's gonna be a ball ache.
