I don’t use the car as much as I would like to so I decided to sell it.
History: I bought the car from UK in July 2007. I did an hpi check and it came out clean. It had 122k Kms on board. Now it has exactly 130k Kms. From the previous invoices it had the timing belt& tensioner& crank shaft pulley changed at 100k together with camshaft oil seals and webbing seals. Spark plugs changed at 96k.
Work done on the car since I bought it (so less than 8k ago):
- Brand new alternator and alternator pulley
- New front droplinks and track rod ends
- New tyres (Federal SS) and changed alloys (EVO 7)
- Changed exhaust center section with Stainless Steel one, standard backbox in good condition and cat on.
- Reconditioned both front brakes myself (new seals and one piston). The back brakes were reconditioned by previous owner at 96k. New front pads on front. I have a set of brand new front discs that I haven’t put on the car yet
- New battery and changed to normal size terminals.
- Front bumper repainted
- Under sealed when I bought it
- Replaced locking motors on both doors.
- Painted front grill mesh
- Changed the all brake lines around the car (not the hoses the actual pipes)
- Serviced twice: Castrol Magnatec both times, replaced alt belt and air filter
- Gearbox: when I got it, the box made a weird noise when idling but it drive well no problems. First I changed the oil. Then I changed the clutch kit with a Mitsubishi one. The noise was still there so I decided to change the gearbox. Bought a gearbox from breakers in UK but there still was a bit of noise there. Decided to fix it well so I bought another gearbox from a uk oc member who assured me that box was very good. Put this box in and now there is absolutely no noise coming from the gearbox and drives very well. Cost of all this: ~2k. Now the box has new Castrol oil in it.
- Applied headlight peeling fix on both lights.
Extras:
- Front and back strut brace (Cusco I believe)
- TEIN coilovers with cusco adjustable top mounts(I also have a set of standard shocks with APEX springs)
- ARC intake with APEXI filter
- 6000k HIDs
- Mx5 clear side repeaters
- Alarm and immobilizer
Interior:
- Illuminated SS kick plates (working)
- New mats
- White dials & SS dial rings
- Kenwood wd6531 (CD/Mp3 ) and KCA iP500 ipod adapter (controls ipod from the stereo)
- Upgraded speakers all around
- Momo facelift steering wheel with horn ring.
I didn’t have any major problems with it. I had a small accident about half a year ago after which I had to change one front light, the hood and one wing and had to respray the bumper.
Bad Bits: Aircon needs to be refilled (min 17C now). The hood has couple of stone chips on it. Otherwise the body is in good condition with only a few small stone chips here and there.
Summary: Silver Manual GPX with 130k Kms, very good condition, NCT 31-03-2011 (passed the first time), tax July 09.
Price: 3200Euro. I know that its a bit high for today's market but I spent much more than that since I got it.Let me know any comments you have, Thanks.
