I could not F**##%* believe it..............................

Postby PT FTO » Sat Jul 16, 2005 2:07 am

How pi**ed off am I. I was up in the hospital today visiting the better half and the new addition to the family and when I came back to the car to leave some toe-rag has ripped the CS spoiler off the back of my P & J
The must have levered it with a screwdiver or something cause it was bolted on and they have pulled the F###in' bolts thru the boot lid and made a right pigs ar$e of my back end .
I am so sick of scumbags

I have to say though they took the spoiler and left the second add-on piece of the spoiler panel which sits flush on the boot there although it does look like they tried to take it as well as the front edges have been prised up.
Looking at it through my angry eyes, the bare ass look with maybe leaving this extra panel on is growing on me........but its still going to cost me a fortune to get fixed up, 4 holes in me boot lid and gouges where they levered it off :!: :!:

If I find the little #**##%* who did this I'll bloody kill em.

End of rant :!:
mmmm!! GPX........and its not all mine anymore....:-(

Sorry to hear about this PTFTO

The more I hear stuff like this the more I become convinced that WE, the normal tax paying, law abiding and conscientious individuals, are the ones who are really losing out in the current society, and to be honest, that makes me both powerless and sad.

You have to ask the question why people do stuff like this..... in my eyes the answer is because they know the consequences of getting caught are not that serious - IMHO this is a serious failing in our current justice system - too much emphasis on doing people for petty misdemeanours and not enough focus on catching those assholes who spend their time causing others hardship

When are we all going to learn... yes we need to educate the young but we also need to punish (properly) those who ignore the education

Ditto.... :x

Sorry to hear about that PT, hope it doesn't cost too much to put right - any chance your insurance would cover it? Maybe the guys at CarCraft could take a look at it.

....and more importantly many Congratulations of the new arrival.....you'll be so tired in aweek you'll have forgotten about the car  .

Thats terrible PT, I know exactly how you feel having been the victim of blatant vandalism aswell.
At least you can bring someone into the world with better values than the scumbags that are out there.

As for why they do it, well my experience seems to be spite and jealousy. Basically my car was keyed and the window was smashed in.
They didnt even take the radio or bags in the back seat.
Very angry and horrible comment I know, but here goes, I think a lot of the little toe rags out there have no decent upbringing or family values, have no education and no real prospect of ever becoming well off and having a nice home and car etc, and they know it.
So they want to give a little revenge to the world, and a good looking car is an obvious target.
End of rant.

Paul, that brutal news, I hope that your recent joy at becoming a new father overshadows your motor getting done over. I know were you're coming from as regards stringing up the little barstewards, all you can do is report it to the guards even though its v. unlikely that anything will come of it. Which maternity hospital where you at by the way, was the car parked on the roadside?

Thanks for all your comments guys. I was at Drogheda Hospital. It was parked in their car park so I am meeting the duty manager on Monday to see about claiming off their insurance. Don't know if it will do any good but worth a try. I reported it to the hospital security and the guards straight away so thats covered.

On the other point whats the general opinion on the bare ass look. I was unsure when i seen MyFTO's but with the add on bit the little ba##**#s left on my car it dosen't look too bad. Kinda takes the 'vacant' look off the back but just with a little difference. Going to carcraft tomorrow to get a quote on the repairs. Any other places you guys can suggest for body repairs and good colour matches.

I've always been a fan of the bare ass look :)

I've used Kelly's in Lusk for body repairs (to my old GS) and they're pretty good. You must be out that direction if you used drogheda hospital ;)

Think if you are going bareass then you need sideskirts and front splitter on the car - bareass on a standard FTO doesn't really look right.
I have stuck the Hiro on my FTO for a change - quite liked the bareass look - but all my Petrolhead mates prefer the Hiro while all non Petrol heads seem to prefer bareass. So I'll be sticking with the Hiro then.

Tried to post a reply before but I wasn't getting the internet here for some reason - anyhooo it's all fixed now!

Can't believe someone did that to your FTO! Why are people so bloody mean?! It's not theirs, but they still feel they have a right to just swoop in and take whatever they want. Nebermind the fact that you still may have payments going out every month or insrance so high that you want to avoid making a claim at all costs!

Makes me so annoyed! I think now that I know I've got my car back, I'm more annoyed than when I found out it was stolen in the first place! But the amount of stories I've heard since that happened to me are huge! Everyone seems to have had a bad experience with one or more cars they've owned. It's complete b';[]'#'/' and I really don't see why we should have to put up with crap like that when all we do is go to work & act like decent human beings...

End of my rant!
