Height adjustment of HID dipped lights.

Postby Aido C » Sat Feb 07, 2009 1:50 pm

My FTO has HID xenon dipped lights fitted. I assume there aftermarket. The height on them is really high at the moment. They are blinding other traffic.
Does anyone know how to adjust the height of them?

You need an allen key, there are adjustment screws on top of the headlight unit. you'd be well advised to bring the car to a garage with the proper equipment to get them aligned.

I though that there were 2 Philips screws used for adjustment, don't remember seeing a hex bolt any time I've adjusted mine?

sorry, I stand corrected, it's an 2 8mm (or 10mm?) adjusting nuts at the back of the cluster that also have philips heads on them, much easier to use a small ratchet and socket than using a screwdriver.
