[PEDANTIC]Wrong bumper if it's supposed to be a GPvR. (has the strut braces, MOMO airbag wheel, coloured seats and manual aircon)

he also mentions 4 speed tiptronic. should be 5 speed

says no other FTO gets a standard LSD, not true.

Car has side skirts and non GPVR spoiler.

Could it be a GP with extras?
most strange.[/PEDANTIC]

Looks like a genuine early Version R to me. Not many people manage to get Version R seats, LSD and Manual Aircon into a regular FTO.

Also - what FTO are you referring to (other than Version R) that gets a LSD ?

AFAIK there wasn't an early Version R, there was a GP alright which had manual aircon but none of the GPX or Version R goodies, I'm guessing this is an up-specced GP using bits from a later Version R

The other FTO to get an LSD was the yellow special edition.

Pity Magnus Magnusson isn't still around - you could have applied and chosen the following as your specialist subject : :wink:

I think that there could be further debate on this one. If it's year of manufacture and not registration then the figures I have seen quoted are as follows.

FTOs Built in Mizushima Plant, Japan :
1994 = ?
1995 = 9,741,
1996 = 2,928,
1997 = 1,960,
1998 = 1,033,
1999 = 616

( You can see why most of the FTOs in Ireland are 1995 ! )

If it's year of registration, then we're up to 2000 alright.
Is there even 100% certainty that there wasn't a final couple of stragglers registered in 2001 in the UK ?

Anyone know how many were made in 1994 ?

From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_FTO
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/corporate/ir/share/pdf/e/fact0009.pdf
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/corporate/ir/share/pdf/e/fact2005.pdf

Year Production
1994 20,074
1995 9,741
1996 2,928
1997 1,960
1998 1,033
1999 616
2000 160

Some contradictory info here though?
http://www.mitsubishi-fto.net/information/production_figures.htm

Year Total Produced DE3A DE2A
1994 9333 8502 831
1995 19515 16944 2571
1996 3805 3423 382
1997 1917 1711 206
1998 1111 1001 110
1999 682 582 100
2000 283 263 20

I know there were some Ralliart imports registered in the UK in 2001, Grace has one.
Not sure how many though.
