Would a Bozz front bumper only look weird?

Postby blackphoenix626 » Wed Feb 02, 2011 6:22 pm

Im thinking of buying just the Bozz front bumper, no skirts. I think in my head it would look okay since there are already standard skirts on the FTO, but it might'nt look right when i put it on. What do you guys think, would the car look mismatched/unfinished or uneven in any way?
Also if anyone here replying has bought one before you might let me know how much it cost to spray, fit, buy, transfer from UK, thanks.

mmhh..the front bumper would be somewhat lower than the sides - I think.

Don't think it would work, you need to go all out for it to look good.

Like the lads said I too reckon the bozz would be a good bit lower than the skirts, might look a bit strange from the side view. Suppose it would make a difference if its lowered and how much of the arch the wheels are filling too. Like if they were standard wheels and standard springs then it would look worse than if the wheels filled the arch and the car was lowered, I'm just trying to picture that in my head so maybe I'm wrong.

Well i have standard springs and wheels on, but not too keen to change the wheels but i would lower it. So if i lowered it would'nt it still look weird or strange from the side?

This might help out a bit, not exactly the same situation but pretty close:

I would also say put side skirts on as well, looks kinda weird otherwise

Not my FTO by the way

I knew there was a photo out there of one. Yeah, personally, I think you need to do something with the skirts to make the lines match up. Really like that front BTW, not sure I could live with it though, think its pretty low?

DC skirts all the way..fo' sho!

Where's a picture of MyFeckin's old FTO when you need one - best use of dcskirts ever.

Am I the only one that thinks that bumper looks fussy and ruins the lines of the car, with or without skirts.

just one more as its my old fto,
http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j37 ... 091529.jpg

as you can see it wasn't quite aligned properly at this stage.

Tbh it never bothered me being lower than the skirts, maybe thats just me tho. When i bought my fto it had this bumper on the front, but it was only primered. I took it off and sprayed it myself (as you can see i should have fitted the mesh AFTER spraying, you live and learn ;-)). The bonnet was a slightly lighter shade of silver but compared to the wings the colour turned out pretty well. This is before it was lacquered too. This theres a guy on ebay selling this style for 140quid plus p+p. Obviously ive no idea about quality, but i def thing this style front bumper looks awesome!

Don't like them.

Would you not just get a facelift instead?

i love the look it gives the front end. usually speedbumps were fine, tho i did slow down and go carefully. Theres a ramp from the upper deck to the lower deck at a shopping centre car park near me though and it scraped every time i came down the ramp from the upper level. Having said that, it didnt sound pretty, but apart from light scrapes on the underside which you cant see, it didnt really cause any major damage.

Ya I like them, they look well in the facelift version too. Wouldn't be a fan of aftermarket bumpers usually for the FTO but the bozz is a nice one.
