Lghts on warning buzzer not working

Postby Baldrick » Sun Sep 26, 2010 1:13 pm

Hi,

I'm forever leaving my lights on (GR Tip) as the warning buzzer doesn't work (I've posted about this before: http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9487 but never got the issue resolved.

I belive a single unit controls the following:

    Reverse warning beeper
    Ring light around the ignition
Warning buzzer if door is opened when key is in ignition
None of these work for me.

I've checked all fuses and all are ok. Courtesy lights come on when door is opened so door switch is ok.

Anyone know what this unit is called/part number so I can try to source one. Better still, anyone got one for sale?

Thanks,

Paddy.

There's also about a million other posts where questions are answered.
This is by and large a very helpful forum, if an answer to a question isn't posted then it's generally because it isn't known

Of course Bernard, and i had lots of help from people on this forum, dont get me wrong, its just i felt that my question about the exhaust, come on,lots of people on this forum are for sure fitting mivec exhaust systems on their GRs,so i think its easy to know and i had no response,so i felt like easy to answer questions are not answered. Now you cleared that up,fair enough, sorry if i offended somebody.

Cant see how the second example shows that people don't respond to posts, I responded on it, Seb responded, Colm responded, Stewy responded, Paul responded.
I wouldnt be getting worried about people not responding to my posts or queries, so dont be taking it the wrong way if you dont get a reply.

I have the same problem with mine. It goes on and off as it please. I've flattened the battry once or twice from. I think it's just a bad connection somewhere, but where I don't know :smt017

Not the same. Read the original post... quite specific. I'm looking for the unit, or the part number of the unit. Mine has never worked.

Paddy, if you can identify the control unit from the wiring diagrams, we can use CAPS to determine the part number.
