18 FTO's on Carzone.ie

There are some cars on carzone that you can do a price comparison with before making your decision.

My 97 gx (nivec) tiptronic came with air-con etc so you'd expect a top of the range model to have all the extras.

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

IP, the GPX is actually considered to be the top of the range in terms of factory options, while the GPvR has HIDs, an LSD, front strut brace and uprated suspension, it lacks soundproofing, folding mirrors, sideskirts (Aero model only) and climate control, in other words its the stripped-out (term used loosely) sports model , Mitsi were after the Teg-R market at the time. In Japan in '99, a manual GPX cost approx $20,500 while the GPvR came in slightly less at $19,070.

Bear in mind that the majority of these cars are being sold thru dealerships which will be reflected in the price, its also worth noting thats its mainly Byrne Autos and Southside Automotive selling FTOs on CBG\Carzone, we've discussed it before but I can't help but think that these pair have a cartel going on :|

I concur on the air con - the vr has twisty manual air con.. The front Strut bar is the standard strut off a GPvr as is mine. The lights look the same as mine .. well bad angle but look right. Steering wheel is also standard momo like mine(but not sure if this is fitted in all mivec models as standard?)
Story on the seats sounds a bit lame? I don't think i'd change mine if i'd a few hot rocks in them.. they are too sweet :)

Nice motor

Hey Russman,

just out of curiousity, whereabouts are the HID ballast boxes on your gpvr, is it under the lights, behind them or whereabouts?

bad move in replacing the blue seat IMHO, they must have had a terrible amount of cig burn holes to justify this,
have you still got the seats ??

also to clear a point, electric folding mirrors came in some GPvR models

I'm going to go against the grain a bit here, but I'm not a fan of the blue/red gpvr covers myself, they scream out the window at ya... I think I would have changed to leather or something.

IIRC, either the GPvR or the GPvR Aero series came with electric mirrors as standard, can't remember which one off-hand. The factory option list for FTOs was pretty long in its day, its not often you see a totally standard model, that said, my motor is specced exactly as per the standard GPX option list, go figure!
