Postby fergal1980 » Mon Jul 05, 2010 7:43 pm

the other day i pulled up and went to turn her off but the key would not release from the barrel. so i didnt mind as it still started i drove to a garage and then drove home ...left her outside went to get in and nothing dead !!!! so i looked on the inteweb and it told me about the lead to the park position on the gearbox as this can stop the key from releasing .....so i went out with a friend to show him how it wont start and he said oh bat must have died i turned the key and she started no probs turned her off started again .next day went to start her to go garage and nothing again ahhhhh.........so i took off most of the stearing coloum and got to the cable and the key released all i did was wiggle it just a little bit couldnt help that sorry ....but when the key was put in theres nothing again does this mean its the barrel ????? as the battery has power but theres no attempt at firing like theres no connection between the barrel and the ignition does anyone know what this is or have any of you had this problem i need my car and she cant be moved im no mechanic either i get stuck with lego models but i will have to try pls guys if you can help it would be much appreciated

i guess all 18 visits managed to read only first row; like me...

but yes, you must attempt to change the barrel, which leads to a different key from the rest of the car.
