Air induction!

Postby msmorrissey » Sat May 08, 2004 6:17 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is an air induction kit available for the GS, is it only available online or can one be picked up in Ireland, also is it worth it? cost v's performance.

Also are there any companies doing seat covers for the FTO, have a great dirty cig burn on the back left seat.

With the summer nearly here would love to hear anyother items I could add to the car, have upgraded the dash and stuff. Any recomendation?

Yes one is available, but no disrespect to the GS but not really worth it for performance, but for induction roar yes.

There are so many mods that can be done to the FTO nowadays, it all depends on what you want for yourself and what your willing to spend

Funky product should have all that you need, personally the k&n gives awesome sounds but the blits wire mesh one is not bad either.

Well i got my leather interiour done in England but you should talk to either dave who got cream leather job done in his or FTOgal as she's getting hers done at some stage and has already done the leg work of finding someone who will do what she wants

I've loads of mods done but if i was to put down a top five (which is very hard mind you) they would probably be
1) lowered
2) strut braces front and back
3) brakes upgrade
4) leather interiour
5) dash work (and that covers alot of stuff like dial surround/stainless steel dials/red bulbs upgrade ect)
6) bodykit (sorry just had to put that in :D )
and believe me i could go on.

i've also got a GS and would deffo recommend the ITG induction kit, cheap but lovely throaty roar when you hit 4000 revs.
but as far as mods would go i would firstly recommend a decent set of alloys and then lowering it, without the bodykit the car still looks the business with a nice set of 17 or 18's.
as far as other mods go it's all a personal preference really, i started with alloys then bodykit, a decent exhaust system, 4" can each side, then lowered it, induction kit, and the exterior is finished, i started on the interior then, all the usual dash stuff (some more new stuff on the way) deep dial rings, door handle cups, steering wheel, that sort of stuff, then the big one, the cream leather, which apart from the body kit was one of the best buys i've had to date, completely transforms the car.
all i need now is some decent ICE, and then there's not much left to do, oh apart from dropping in a nice V6 lump
