Removing front wing - How easy?

Postby richj » Wed Jan 30, 2008 11:02 am

Has anyone had a go at removing the front wing of their fto? Someone smashed into mine with a transit van so its pretty screwed! Can get a wing pretty cheap and was gonna attempted to change it myself. Anyone got any tips or have tried this? Thanks. Rich

done it miself a couple of times

3 screws under bonnet, 1 behind the door , 2 under car (under skirts)
1 that joins with the bumper + 1 under wheel arch ( wich you have to remove of course)
for an easy job remove wheel as well.
remove side repeater.

to be honest , my front bumper was off the car so it was easy enough to remove wing

any Q , pm me.

Seb, is it easy enough to line it up with the bonnet/bumper/door etc when you put it on? or does it screw on in just on position with no adjustment?

depends
could be bang on .. or you have to do small adjustments to line it up ( drill wider holes , push ....)

wing was easy enough to fit to the line.
small adjustments
once you didnt broke the yellowish plastic guides for the bumper .. the bumper will adjust by itself .
