Most people go in through the drivers side wheel arch, there seems to be more room that way.

Welcome to the forum by the way...

yup, it's very tight, almost seems like the exhaust manifold has to come off to get it out.

If ur doing it from above manifold needs 2come off.if ur doing it from below top mount on suspension strut needs to be loosened to lower enough to get it out

I did it from below on a GPX....took the manifold and downpipe off....still tough to wiggle in and out but not too bad.

Sounds like a good idea to drop the strut I was going to loosen the top engine mounting and jack it up a bit .But the strut sounds better nice one will have a battle with it later on . thanks

Pop the drive shaft out, it's a bit of work but not too hard. Search the forum here as I have more detailed info from a while back. Just have some gearbox oil handy depending on the angle that its jacked at as it could leak out. Might be an idea to change the oil anyway!
