I'm keepin'it (Mc do style)

Hi guys,

time has come for me to sell my car as I'll be moving pretty soon to France.

This is a reluctant sale,I love the car, know hos it is mechanically as I had big servicing on it .. but as you know I have to sell it because I can't take it back to France, they won't register it.


So here are the specs:

1995 FTO GS (cheaper tax and less thirsty in gas, but still really good perfs) Manual gearbox !
She's in really good shape except dents in the rear bumper (were already there when I bought it) and small chips on the front one.
Can be seen in Cork.

Everything works perfectly, she drives like a dream.
Everything except listed below is stock, stock stereo with CD changer will be given with the car (I keep the one you can see on the pics)

All the electrics work perfectly.


She has 195 000 kms and as you'll see with what was changed she's ready for another 100 000

taxed until end of may 09, NCT in June 09.

I list only the servicing that I had done and that is sure, I will give the receipts.

Water Pump and all belts changed 10 K kms ago
Head gasket changed, engine skimmed 2 000 km ago !
All filters changed 2 000 km ago
front brake discs and pads changed 2 000 km ago
all spark plugs changed 2 000 km ago
cooling hose changed 2 000 km ago
Gearbox oil changed 2 000 km ago
Clutch changed 2 000 km ago !
Front tires changed 10 000 km ago

Rear stereo changed, now have 2 x 300 W JBL speakers
all upholstery changed for leatherettegear knob changed for aluminium/leather one

Asked price => reduced 1300 € !!!!!

don't think so.

2 months ago I paid 1500 € to service it between the filters, brakes, clutch, head gasket.

the upsholtery as well isn't cheap.

and I paid the car itself before doing all that less than a year ago for more than the price I am asking.

This car is really clean, got a lovely inside and most of it, has been heavily serviced and has a reliable motor which will last.

Last but not least, thanks for keeping your thoughts on the price to yourself instead of giving wrong ideas to the people who may be interested.

servicing is everyday upkeep really dosnt add much if anything at all to the value.

Just a suggestion Masa, but would you consider selling the seats? I think they look nice and there may be interest from other users here, and that way you can reduce the price further and draw in more interest in the car itself?

@topcat: well for the seats I don't think, they are a good value to the car, and part ot its appeal.
Without them dunno if it'd sell well.

anyway I don't have spare seats and I don't know how much people will pay for them.

I'd may as well just break the car apart (too bad .. ) if I sell them separately.

ok guys,

I'm giving it away for 1300 e, she has to go I'm getting hurried.

Just noticed this WE that sometimes she has slight problems to go on 2 nd gear, it's not hard or anything but it doesn't "click" properly. tension of the wires?

Anyway don't have the time to have it fixed so big bargain on the price! that's a bugger it appeared just before I leave. apart that everything is just fine, she hasn't lost a single drop of water in months.

ya can buy those seat covers on ebay there proper leather and have two zips on the back of them they used to be on my one and ya can get them to fit really well if ya put in the effort and take out the seats an stuff

so that won't be too expensive
