Ok, lets try and get another meet off the ground
I was thinking about organising another Rolling Road session in Enfield for next January. I'll check costs during the week but it should be around 50-60 quid per car. Can I get a show of hands?

Yea, I'm in for this one too - I'd be interested to know how poorly my GR is running - Will they just run the car or will they also set it up for you while running it?

They'll run the car and probably make recommendations on how you can improves things. These guys (Westward Engineering) specialise in tuning up rally cars and the like so they generally know their stuff.

I'll be there CJ - I may or may not get the test done again though. I don't think I have made any changes since the last time.

Just a small update, I spoke with Martin in Westward, he mentioned it would be best to call him @ the start of January to arrange a date. In this vein, can you complete the poll in the forum which takes stock of what dates you CAN'T attend in January. For 10 cars or less it will be €60 per car. In the past, some of the Tip figures were shown to be a bit off, Martin mentioned that they have a 4WD RR that can give a more accurate reading from auto/Tip g/boxes.

As regards the car, I don't fully know how serious it is as yet
Theres a possibility I won't have the car fixed up in time for this session but its early days yet. I'll call Martin early next week with a view to laying something down for the last Sat in Jan/First Sat in Feb timescale and get back to you all.

Ok Guys, I've booked Saturday morning the 7th of February with Martin so pencil it into your diaries. We'll organise the logistics nearer the date.
At the last session, there was some difficulty getting flywheel figures off cars with Tiptronic boxes so Martin suggested I pay him a visit beforehand to try out his new 4WD RR which is better epuiped to deal with auto\tip transmissions. I'm not sure if my car will be back on the road in time but I'll try and sort something out in the short term.

and right now I'm a bit concerned that my tip box is on the way out. not to mention posibly needing some new ignition leads, new tyres and new speed sensors..... must get out the long mile road and get hooked up to a MUTII.

Yeah.... Still alive. I'm living in Dublin now and was toying with the possibility of getting myself another FTO. I got a quote with 5 years NCB and a Full Licence for 2 years. I'm 27 BTW. The quote for TPFT was 3100 euro on 123.ie. I was stunned at that considering I'm paying 1200 for my GSR. Comparable performance too. Ahh well I'll try to make it out for the day to kick tyres and compare HP

that sounds crazy - I just turned 30 with fulll licence for only 5 years and 4 years NCB and I'm paying 1700 TPFT (and I reckon that is too expensive)!!!!

If I still have the GS and it's not sold I'll pop along to this... mightn't bother doing the RR thingy though....until I get a manual GPX in a couple of months time

Can we get another roll call on people running their cars on the day? The price is based on the amount of cars being run, if there are too few, it may cost more per head. My car will probably be off the road getting fixed up at this stage, so its unlikely I will be able to run. The following is a list of people who said they would attend, if there is a discrepency, please amend:
Running
Daz
Keville
Speedy
Ed
Attending
Kace (ran last time)
Adrian (waiting on GPX)
Nigel (mate of mine with GPX)
CJ (car off the road)
Shane (new Tip box)
If we only have 4 cars on the rollers on the day, it may not be cost effective. Please let me know what your decision is so as I can get onto Westward ASAP to review the situation. I was planning on taking a trip up to Enfield on Saturday to test out the Tip on the 4WD road, I don't want to waste Martins time if we can't get the numbers up.

Ciaran any chance we could push it back a week or 2 (sorry) casue I'm in Norway from 29th Jan to 8th Feb for some ski races - sorry but these things have a habit of happening out of the blue and I have to get all the races I can this year - would really like to get on the rollers though to see what I need to do to get the car running nice.
