I need 2 wheels of some discription to fit an fto. Cant be space savers though. The insurance company think they can sell my car for scrap value including my wheels. They dont cover them for replacing but expect to sell them as part of scrap value. Whats that all about?

and you have to give them wheels. doesn't add up. I'm presuming there were 4 wheels on it when it was stolen

Two were damaged when stolen so I dont care about them, there is no chance they could be fixed. Shoud have said size/condition not an issue as long as they are wheels. Might need alloys not sure yet.

So does this mean that they will sell your car and then give you more than €2500 for it, as long as you can provide them with 2 wheels ?

Sounds very odd - who do they think they are going to sell to and why does it need wheels if it's going for scrap value ?

They get the value buy putting up pics offerng it for scrap and what ever the offer is they take that as the scrap value. The pictures had the alloys on and is *included* in scrap value. I better still get the 2500 for the car. The book value is based on a standard one which should include standard wheels, so that shouldn't change. The scrap value should lower as a result of having standard alloys not after market ones. I'm just not giving them the alloys if they dont include the value when calculating the value of it, and wont replace them either. Its a joke
