Wow! Nice VR4 CJ. Is that black or navy? Would love one myself. Always liked that shape galant.
Kudos to you for taking the plunge -although I guess the taxman gave you a gentle nudge. As much as I love the FTO a brake or change of scenery every now and then is no harm.
His and hers mitsubishi V6's you can even get sequential number plates if you register them at the same time -how cute :smt052
Questions that need to be asked as follows:
Is there any significance in you buying a family saloon car, do you have any news for us?
Has Mrs. J passed her driving test?

Eh, no. Sure a nipper would fit in the back of an FTO no bother ;) The VR-4 one of those cars that I was planning to own at some point. Getting Mrs CJ into the FTO means I'm still part of the gang as it where.

Sure has. Will be likely be paying less insurance than me no doubt...

Cars black by the way.

Havn't decided yet Adrian, I need to come up a figure thats realistic but at the same time reflects mods, condition etc.

My congrats to Mrs. J. :smt023
Black, best colour for a VR4 IMO, really suits the aggressive look of the car. Nice choice and well wear.

any mods planned for the VR4 cj? I'd imagine it'd be easy enough to pull 300-320bhp out of that engine?

Ah, I'm always looking... I am 99% sure I am selling the 911 soon.. bought a Volvo XC90 family motor (another kiddie on the way this year!! ) :D so can't really afford to run 2 such motors, and so the 911 will have to be the axed one! I would like to get something cool but easier to buy and run then the 911! As I say, constantly on the look out!

No plans Dave, 280 brake will be more than sufficient for the moment. A filter, aftermarket IC, downpipes, and cat bypass would certainly get you over the mark 300 (managed 316 in the RX-7) but you would need to map it accordingly with the right ECU (limited options for the VR-4). The question is do I want to go to the expence and hassle! This is another jap car that should be run on high octane fuel but of course the local Maxol doesn't yet stock E5 yet

well that's the thing, i swore i wouldn't go down the modding route on the 350 but it's an addiction... point proven by the fact of me buying a nismo exhaust and some high flow cats!!

well either way, best of luck with CJ and well wear.....

Will you have to get the VR4 mapped to 95 RON or will it run on it anyway??

Heh - always on the look out but I'd prefer a 993 tbh prefereably a nice turbo (I can dream....)

When I read the for sale thread (only yesterday) I was shocked but then I saw this one - you're like the original FTO torch bearer :)
