I'm a little confused here - Keith.
Why only post a defence on this now when you've had a few days reading posts that were put up by Steelroe and various members - especially as you were aware of these posts and even went as far as deleting the orig post (two days ago) where you looked for the side windows (in case anyone put two and two together?) rather than defending yourself then?

I don't know where to start here? - but its the first time I've ever seen someone physically threatened on an online forum. Its not smart on so many levels.

While I do not want to get involved. I do not think this thread should be locked just yet. There is a common misconception here that we are all friends and exist in a cosy utopian environment, where we can all trust eachother and 'sure he's a sound chap I know him from the forum'). It would be great if this was true. The reality is that very few users here actaully know each other to any great degree, and while we should give people the benefit of the doubt, it is wise to be cautious of 'strangers'. A persons membership of a forum, does not necessaryily make them, sound, trustworty, honest, etc. We would all do well learn from this lesson that all is not necessarily as it seems.

I find this episode all the more disappointing as the victim in all this is Steelroe -a valuable resource and service provider whom many of us have leaned on in the past for emergency parts.
It seems to me that he is suffering non payment, or at the very least being given the run around.
Keep this thread open until it's resolved! We'd all like to hear a satisfactory explanation.

I am not taking sides but I do understand Rory's point. Reading whats been said it does sound like he made a lot of effort to contact you Keith, so I can understand his frustration. If there was a mistake giving or taking down bank details it could easily have been resolved through a bit of communication. Personally I would like to see this resolved. I have talked to both of you at different times and you both came across as friendly genuine lads.
I think it would be a shame if something like this would ruin the trust between members on here, that is what makes this site so good.

Just to put this post to bed for good.

It has been 2 weeks and no sign of payment or the return of the glass. I sent the delivery address again just in case. No reply.

I guess you learn the hard way for trusting people on their word.
