FOR SALE - 1995 GPX Manual

Hi folks,

Regrettably the time has come to sell my FTO. I will be leaving the country for a year in a few months time and have nowhere to keep the car. The spec of the car is at the link below:

The car has since been stolen and recovered. It is mechanically in perfect condition and drives wonderfully but still has some panel damage to the driver's side door and wing. I have a replacement door and wing which will be included in the sale. The wing is the correct colour, the door will need to be sprayed. The ignition has been replaced, but the cowling needs to be replaced also. The stereo head unit is gone as well but the subwoofer and speakers are all still in place, the sound quality is phenomenal so it would be worth putting a decent unit into it.

I had intended to do the repairs myself but as I no longer drive ( I cycle everywhere ) I never got around to it. I would hang on to the car myself for when I return if only I had somewhere to put it.

I'm open to offers on this and as I would really like to see it go to a good home with someone intending to drive it rather than break it. With a little bit of work this will still be one of the best '95 FTOs around.

That's some car for the money - albeit if there is a little work to do. I was considering myself for a few mins before sense took over.

Presume that it doesn't have an NCT ? When did the last one expire ?

Also presume that you have put a few km on it since the 128k when you purchased initially.

Very cheap indeed. If I was able to start a project I'd snap this up. Might be worth putting a few pics up just to give an idea of the damage. People will think the worst when they hear there's damage, and I might not be that bad?

It has never been NCTed. When I bought it off Colm he hadn't NCTed it and I never bothered. At the time it didn't really matter but I don't think you'd get away with that now!

I believe it's at 137,000 km now but I will double check and stick up a few photos at the weekend. From the passenger side, front or rear it looks mint. The driver's side makes me do a sad face though.

It's cheap all right, but I feel like it's wasted sitting in the drive. I gave it a wash and put a new reg plate on it last week. If the weather is good over the next couple of weeks I might look at replacing the panels. If I do that then I will most likely take it off the market and garage it until I return from my travels!

Any pictures up yet? I'm in work so probably won't be able to see them anyway but interested all the same.

I have a A34 Tip GPX that I'm breaking so there's a spare door/wing/cowling and pretty much every else going too.

If it still has the quad exhaust, ARC intake and strut braces then its pretty much a no-brainer.
Can you give me some more info on it from the maintenance side of things?
