Defo high speed impact
A mate recently crashed her car into a pole at approx 20-30mph and did far more damage than what is on that FTO. It would be very unlikely that a driver would survive an impact speed of greater than 30mph from a pole into their side door of a car. Most cars tend to scrub off speed before impact in a crash so while they may have been travelling far faster to loose control it is unlikely the impact speed was very high.
Car manufacturers generally side impact test their cars at 30mph with a solid ram but at less than 20mph with a pole at side impact.
Heres an article that shows a BMW X5 side tested at 18mph into a pole.
Its also probable the X5 would hold up much better than an FTO in similar circumstances.
