Postby soc » Sat Dec 10, 2005 11:41 pm

I got some Eagle F1's fitted today - got a decent price on them - 180 euro a tyre fitted. I got them from a guy up in Drogheda - Sean McManus Tyres. Contact details are:

Sean McManus Tyres,
Balmarino,
Marhs Rd.
Drogheda
041-9837748

the tyres were 225/40x18.... and the car is transformed now - more feel and way more grip - I'm definitely getting a set on the rear.

Dunlop sports, which had around 5mm left on them - tyre fitter wasn't sure why I was changing until I pointed out that the 2 tyres had bulges on the sidewall.I know the F1's have more thread but they do transform the handling ;)

Yip - I found much better ride comfort, less road noise and increased grip from the F1's over previous Pirelli P7000's on my last bus. My present set of S03's are probably even sticker though they don't have as good a ride quality and are certainly more noisy.
