Need HELP. (Dials)

Postby StewyD32 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 9:25 pm

got my new el dials today and having trouble finding a proper neutral wire to connect it to.

I put it on a screw on the chassis but the dials stay on, and it will drain the battery and can't find a neutral wire to splice it with.
Will someone please tell where one is and a picture will be very very helpful

Im pulling my hair out. Seems easy to solve but just can't find it

use the wires off the cigarette lighter bulb there is a green and black wire. usually you have a red and black wire off the dials. connect the green to red and black to black. sorted. so the when you turn on the lights ,it grounds the el dials .

Thanks will try that tomorrow. Have the live wire connected to the live wire on the spot light button on the right side of the steering wheel. might have to re-arrange what i did today.
Thanks for the post

Got the dials from visual-performance.co.uk.

http://www.visual-performance.co.uk/#/fto/4534291528

They look great compared to the stock, but i did crush my leg in the door and electrocuted myself with the dimmer switch putting them in not to mention a few spliced and taped up random wires .

Will do a thread on how to install them with pics later. Can't wait for the dial rings off Jason that he's doing up for me, they'll look real good then

Took me a few go's to get them working right too.... lol

Was considering a starter button next, but might not go at that myself :D
