Clunky boot

Postby RobJ » Wed May 19, 2004 7:30 pm

Odd sounding post I know but I am wondering what I can do about it.

The flooring of the boot is like heavy cardboard and it's been water damaged. It doesn't sit right and so causes a bit of noise by bouncing around when I take corners quickly.

So, knowing that I won't stop taking corners quickly, how can I sort it out without filling the boot up with stuff that will proably slide all over the place anyhow causing more noise?

Annoying indeed..

Rob, go down the hardware shop and get yourself some thick hardboard or ½" MDF and a jigsaw, use the original as a template and make yourself a new one! As regards stuff flying around the boot, you can buy a boot net in most motor factors that will keep stuff in place. Finally, soundproof your boot, see this postfor more info.
