1998 FTO AeroGX Series

Postby zjdaruwalla » Wed Sep 19, 2007 9:39 pm

Hi, lads! I've sadly put my baby up for sale on carzone...While I have advertised her for €12k (have spent about a total of €14k on her since I got her 9 months ago), I'm willing to accept any reasonable offer from anyone in the FTO club so let me know if any of you are interested or know anyone who may be interested. Details are up on carzone.ie but if you have any specific questions, let me know. I just can't afford to run my FTO and the RX 7 I am getting this week.

Hmm - An RX7 you say! :smt017
Must be tough having to give up your FTO for an RX7. :P

Do you mind if I ask where you are buying this RX7?

Various Things...

Postby zjdaruwalla » Sat Sep 22, 2007 6:41 pm

You asked what I've spent money on...Various things...For example, almost €600 on UltraTrac tyres...Pioneer stereo system...Protective spray layer for the undercarriage to protect it in this weather...Alarm system and immobilizer...It came to almost €14k when I add all I've done to the price I paid for it. At the end of the day, with the way prices have gone, I'm sure I won't get what I'm asking for but I'm so in love with my FTO, that I don't mind waiting to see what people out there offer for it. In time, if I have to, I'll drop the price. Like I said though, any reasonable offer will not be refused.

I think an asking price as high as that will put people off even calling you. I'd expect a seller to drop their asking price by about €1,000 if pushed. Even at that, it seems expensive compared to some newer cars on sale.

hey Z,

best of luck with the sale. I bought my version R, low milage, immaculate 1999 recently for under 11k. your asking price does seem quite a bit indeed for a non mivec. I could be wrong though. Let us know how it goes.
