Any good discussions on the whole VR4 front...
I'm planning on changing the car just to get some more power elsewhere... I've been thinking of the S15 Silvia but on paper its no quicker 0-62 or quarter mile times so quickly losing interest.

Is there someone in ireland that would do a project like this and are we talking stupid money.... Any other engines eaier to obtain that would make a better job?

I've a similar dilema as well - upgrade to something more powerfull or go down the road of changing the engine/transmission on the FTO.

I reckon 5-6K would get a VR4 unit or Evo 6 unit including fitting into an FTO. But you have to allow another 4K for upgrading transmission, Brakes and hoses, Fuel lines, fuel pump, wiring etc.

If there were a number of interested peeps that could take their cars off the road for a period of 3 weeks approx I'm sure we could reduce our costs. My own mechanic builds rally cars and has done several engine conversions - he would certainly be up to doing this work and he would be very reasonable.

You'd certainly be surprising a few peeps next year at the 1/4 mile if you were running in the 12's

What do we really need... Where can we get it, i can always borrow a car if the results are going to be worth while!!!
