1994 FTO GPX MANUAL for sale Nct'ed till jan 2014

Im selling the GPX i bought from Adrian a while back.

Have to admit, car needs a bit of TLC to get it back to the condition CJ had it in.

Needs NCT.

I bought it with the intention of getting it through the nct then putting it on my classic policy.
But since i bought the diesel bmw 320 cd, im going to put my 97 fto gpx on the classic policy, so im selling this on.
Since buying the car from Adrian, ive rectified an intemittent wiring issue which caused the car to stall on ocassions,
Resolved issue with engine Fan which was not coming on when it should.
Replaced front warped discs.
Installed speakers, as orginal speaker and stereo were removed by previous owner. Needs stereo.


Will let it go a little cheaper to someone on here if interested.
Ideal for somebody looking for fto for a classic ploicy.

Was very tempted to buy it myself. I seen it in the flesh a couple of days ago and while it needs some tlc, it's still a stunning car. I need to keep money aside for my holidays

Started out with a GS, moved to the GPX above, last FTO was a GX.

I'd buy it back if I had storage, I spent a small fortune on that car in terms of maintenance, leather, facelift upgrade and complete suspension overhaul (I'd be interested to know if its still handling as tightly as it was under my tenure).

Hi cj, have to be honest i havent drove it much at all.
Adrian drove it out to my place. from the little driving if done in it it drives
very well. ive replaced exhaust from pipe as old one was knackered.
I might end up putting it thru the nct as it will make it easier to sell. just hard
to find the time these days.

NCT booked for 30th march.
Rear brake pipes replaced due to slight corrosion.
Driverside Track rod replaced due to torn rubber boot.

Cant see it failing on anything major, may be just some minor things which i dont mind.

Had nct today,

Just failed on one thing, brake line not clipped to body.
Had my mechanic replace the two rear brake lines, he done this but must have forgot to reattach brake line to support clip.
Very minor detail, ill fix this and put it thru retest.
Will be tested till Jan 2014.

This was my first real drive in this car and it handles and drives so well.
Its is easy to see that the suspension has been looked after so well by cj in relation to replacing bushes etc.

Will be ncted next week or so. first 1000 euro gets it.
