Nice clean looking car. Always thought it was a black you had though with a flame kit no? Or am I thinking of someone else?

I have 2 FTO's or should i say had - your right I did have a black one with flame kit :-) but i sold it 2months ago and now selling my White one.

I never really drove black one much because I had White one and at that I was only really driving at weekend. There such lovely cars it seemed a shame to have them sitting up so thought it best to sell them on let someone else enjoy them.

I'm getting more sensible in my auld age driving a more practical car now :-) lol

It's a good buy foramyone as it needs nothing done to it,its even booked in now for nct on Monday so hopefully that will go well as it's never been nct'd before :-/- hoping it will help in selling it

It might be only me ,... but if you want to sell you must be more realistic with the price .

I think €2900 is a fair price considering the mileage, the wheels, the seats, the remote start the adjustable coil overs and dampners it's taxed and will have NCT plus bodywork and engine is perfect. If the car sells well and good if not I don't mind but I'm not letting it go for a pittens either all the time and effort that has been put into the car.

Don`t get me wrong but people sell perfect examples of 99 GX Manuals with less mileage for 2900 euro these days.
I know, it`s always pain to sell your baby for less than you want but the market is what it is. Coilovers may be an advantage but just for extreme drivers though ;P
Probably better to keep it as a collector`s item if it`s such a beauty :)) (just my personal opinion)

I reckon Abby has got her pricing spot-on.
Without wanting to start a "theres no value to mods" arguement - If I was selling an FTO with those mods - I'd want to recoup some of the money. I mean she could strip the FTO and sell parts like the rims, coilovers, leather interior, HKS induction and recoup at least 1.5K on the FTO or there might just be a buyer out there that would like these bits on an FTO - I know I would.

I'd ask for 2.9K as well and if someone offered me 2.5K I might just take it.

I'd have to agree with MFFTO, it looks remarkably clean and the paintwork looks spot on, the interior is spotless and the mods suit the car. True there is CJs car which is unbelieveable condition for roughly the same price and is newer, but bear in mind there are a lot worse out there going for similar or more than 2900.

Ok, I resisted but I'm gonna jump in now. I do not think it is appropriate to be commenting (negatively) on the price of the car in someones for sale add.
I'm all for freedom of speech, and when something is posted on the forum I believe it is in general fair game for discussion -however I think this scenario is the one exception where the old adage should apply "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all"
If you think it's a bargin then by all means, tell the world. However if you think it is overpriced I think it is grossly unfair to sabotage someones add with such comments. Ultimately it is for the perspective purchaser(s) to decide the worth of the vehicle. If a car is overpriced the vendor will soon realise same by way, of lack of interest and/or low ball offers.
However if the vendor is seeking feedback such as -what do you think of the price?, or why is my car not selling? Feel free to jump in with the tough love.
Nobody wants to sell anything for 'less than it's worth'. If necessary start high and reduce as necessary -you can't start low and increment the price upwards. :smt002

sorry Abby , I just stated my opinion about the price . It wasn't my intention to argue or drop the sale value of your car .

I've bought / sold 6 FTO's in the last 2 years and i've checked around the same number for buying with different prices starting a few hundred to a few thousand .

You might be better off in selling the mods separate for the extra cash ,
But if you're not keen to sell , just keep her for a weekend car or for fto-ireland meets

No NCT at the moment but its in for the test on Monday so hoping i'll get at least 1year anyway.

Thanks for all the positive comments and Mustang has a fair point - If an owner posts their car for sale on the clubs website and if a prospective buyer is looking for an FTO and comes to the website for a look to see whats for sale and the see's posts like the price is too high it automatically puts them off and your doing someone out of a potential sale.

Not to worry anyway - the cars worth as much as someone wants to pay for it I think but for the moment Im still enjoying driving it at the weekends :D

If I was looking for an FTO I'd consider it tbh. It's a cracking good example. Good luck with the sale.
Currently in my collection:
'98 Toyota Starlet...
'79 Mini Clubman 1380cc ~100BHP (I hope)
'79 BMW 728
