Torch in place of flare (passenger footwell)

Is that a torch you have in the flare holder in the passenger footwell Kev? good thinkin, I reckon one of those c cell led torches tesco is sellin would fit in there nicely :idea:

It is alright, a couple of years ago someone in the ftooc got a supply of torches that fit nicely in there so picked one up then.

I think it's illegal to carry a flare in your car in Eire, don't quote me on that though.

If anyone else finds the perfect fit LED torch for this holder please let us know. I still have the flare intact also, but carry around the heavy duty Maglite in the car as my torch. Would prefer to have a neat LED torch instead.

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-8191.aspx Just got one of these it's a perfect fit and as the body of it is black aluminium it blends with the black trim. Pretty impressive light off it an all :wink:

Anyone know if you can actually buy / see these in Tesco or is it only an online thing ?

I bought mine in the store this evening. they are in the aisle with bulbs and mops in the same section as smoke alarms and extension leads etc.

Looks well, I like it!
Regarding the flare Gary ya its illegal but mine went through the nct twice with it in place and they never said anything. Its regarded as a firearm as far as I know.

Your thinking of flare guns, they come under firearms legislation. A handheld flare would be pyrotechnics legislation. :wink: If there had have been one in my car I'd have set it off long ago, temptation would have been to much

Good stuff - I'll take a look this evening.

No doubt it's probably twice the price in Tesco here down South - same as everything else :roll:

Hi Guys did you know you can get LED filaments for your Mag lamp to replace the single bulb type just thought I would
share this with you.
