Changing Rear Brake Pads

Had some spare time today so i fitted the pads i had lying around since i bought the car.How easy is it to change rear pads on a Gpvr compared to a gpx one bolt and the calliper swings up lovely jubbly
Didn't have a calliper winding kit so i used an open mouth spanner to turn the piston back done the job a treat
One question though the old pads when i took them off the ones on the outside was shot but the inside pad on both sides had only half used.Any ideas is it a possibly air in the pipes

GPX and GPVR rear brakes are identical.

long nose pliers or open ended spanner works good.
G clamp can cause damage!

When i had my gpx it had 2 bolts on the rear callipers that needed removing if my memory recalls,could they have been changed? Or am i going senile

Sounds like the calipers sliding pins are starting to seize ie not allowing the outter pad to be pushed away fom the disc after braking,try taking the calipers of and cleaning and greasing the pins.
