Finally died....

Postby iwannafto » Thu Nov 16, 2006 6:38 pm

I put a post here about a week ago in relation to clutch problems....well it finally gave up the ghost last weekend while sitting a red light of all places. Fortunately the particular road I was on wasn't that busy and I was quite near to a car park. A friend of mine knows the guy who owns AutoCity on Bluebell Avenue and he offered to come out on Sunday morning and take it back to the garage to have a look. Well long story short....he had to replace the clutch, master & slave cylinders and also did a full service for me, including flushing the engine etc...all for €575. I was hoping that we could add Autocity to the list of mechanics on the services page as Declan (the owner) seems to be pretty knowledgeable on the FTO??

Oh my - that's no fun - atleast you got it sorted now..
600quid seems a fair price considering the towing of the car, parts and the considerable labour involved in doing that work..
