Turbo FTO for sale

Postby d_dan » Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:59 pm

Hi guys im considering swapping or selling mrbishi's old FTO.
I will sell it or take a swap for a up in the years Version R or Ralliart edition.Any questions or offers just drop me a PM. Can be VRT'd

No particular reason just that I have a turbo FTO already and see no need for two. I was going to use it for the track but its too good of a car for that.

Its on english plates and comes with no MOT or tax as I live in ireland there would be no way for me to provide this,

heres the spec,
"As featured on Juced 2"[/B]

Custom twin Exhaust
De-Cat Pipe
HKS Filter
Front Upper Strut Brace
Rear Upper Strut Brace

Sparco seats.
Momo steering wheel
Microtec v7 ECU,

I thought this wasn't road worthy as there was something wrong with the chasis?????? Did you get that sorted?

you would need to get it assessed.
It hasnt been put through a NCT or MOT so you need to get an official oppinion on it.
Iv shown it to a mechanic who said its grand but to be honest the NCT centres are alot more stringent.
And the there is a small section of the chasis that could do with being plated.

Im selling the car as is and weather you want to break it, race it or put it on the road is all up to the buyier

Price?

To be honest, if I was considering this, I would want the chassis sorted, the car NCT'd and ready to go, that's just my personal opinion, I'm sure someone might be interested, but without the above it will cut that interest down an awful lot!

I was under the impression that the chassis was fooked on this car. Isn't that why the guy in the UK sold it in the first place?

d_dan wrote:you would need to get it assessed.

The guy in the UK had is assessed, you had it assesed, and neither of you put it on the road.

Price would have to be right on this, might interest someone with the skills and facilities to put it right.

I think it would be safe to say someone kinda beat them to it. a RWD conversion would be my ultimate mod for the FTO.

Wouldnt say you would have many interest in swapping a roadworthy car for one thats not, i would imagine the rust would be an issue even on the track.
Best of luck with the sale though

than loved for what Im not.

The chasis isn't fooked as you so pollitly say he just had no intrest getting it fixed.

Nor have I as its a track car

To be fair Dan, you've said plenty of stuff about the car to give that impression. The only reason I don't quote some of what you said is because I wouldn't want to ruin your for sale post.

Anywho, I think you'd be helping yourself if you give a ball park figure of what you're looking for it?

Good luck with the sale either way.

On the link to the UK forum thread (which you've now removed) the original owner gave the impression that it wasn't worth fixing - I just figured thins must bad under there if an FTO with that much work done isn't worth fixing. You too previously stated that the rust was extensive on the car and that you could tell how bad it was from the flex in the body.

I have no intention of buying your car, nor do I want to ruin your chances of selling it - but I don't like the way you're going about this. I'd hate to see someone buy the car on the assumption that it would just need a quick weld to get through the NCT.

id prefer a swap of a car to be honest. but i wouldnt mind 4k my way.

Im going looking at a GSR lancer with a mad setup
and a side arch 95 imprezza during the week to see what they are like as iv been offered swaps.
but im more prone to stick with the GSR

Dan is the blue one you have for sale "complete" as imported from UK, or have you removed lots of bits for the white one. i.e is the spec as it was on the UK for sale post the time you bought it???
