Sorry to keep posting but.... the guy before put some crap on the lights, i think its the folatec clear lacquer type stuff to stop stone chips n that....anyway, half of its come off and they now look absolutely gash. Ive tryed autoglym tar and glue remover but no luck, just wondered if anyone had any ideas on what would get this off? i didnt wana try paint thinner as i know some stuff reacts with plastic and i dont wana have to buy new headlights if its gona wreck them

He may not have put a lacquer on them, head light peeling is a common problem. Have a search for "head light" and "peeling", there is lots of stuff on it here, and a lot of us have done it. A bit of sand paper, rubbing compound, polish, and a lot of elbow grease will do the trick I suspect.
