Silly question about oil filter and auto filter? maybe?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but.... i purchased the other day an oil filter and auto filter..... they said 'sorry we dont have the auto filter in stock but let me find a cross reference for it .. la la la .... found one its the same as the oil filter???

Hmmm i thought i asked 'are you sure mate' and he said 'yep sure is!'

Is this true? or do i need to take it back?

No, the ATF and engine oil filters are completely different, search is your friend:

nice 1, i did find that in a search before but just wanted to check tho.

I better take it back .... or i might save it till next oil change
