Torque Wrench: measures 42-210NM, doesn't mention "accurately"

Axle stand: 2ton rating. seems to have a twist/screw up/down action

Jump leads: 16mm wire €16.99, 25mm wire €29.99.
25mm cables are said to be suitable for up to 5.5 litres! (16mm for up to 2.5l)

Forgot they have a website...

The term 'you get what you pay for' comes to mind...

it's also true that being more expensive doesn't always mean better.

If you're paying for 2 ton axle stands then I fully believe that the stands would accommodate this. If someone's stands 'bent' under this load (which they probably didn't if used correctly) then just bring them back.

Lidl generally have a great no-quibble return policy on stuff.

That "in-car adaptor" could be handy for anyone thinking of modding the centre console piece to either blank out the ash tray/cigarette lighter or replace with additional meters. I assume it'd just be a matter of splicing to the existing lighter wires and then placing the adapter under the seats or wherever?

In theory they should, but I for one am not about to put them to the test.

A friend was mad into the Powercraft stuff either them or Aldi sell from time to time, complete rubbish. Rotary tool lasted about 15 minutes of not stressful use, drill died pretty quickly, had another tool for drilling into masonary and the chisel bit wouldn't stay in it.

Not saying all the stuff in there is junk, another friend got a laptop in one of the places and found it very good, but if it's stuff you need to rely on you can't be going for the cheap options.

And ya, you don't always get rubbish for little money, and ya you don't always get quality for a lot of money but it's more often true than not in both cases.

I have to say I bought compressor, air ratchet and numerous other tools there and never had a problem. Bought one of their recripocating saws a couple of years back a it had cut some amount of car shells up at this stage and never had a problem.
That little battery charger they have has been used hundreds of times to chare jetski batteries and never had a problem.

Just bought the Powercraft reciprocating saw in Aldi at the weekend myself. Seems like a weapon of a thing - I'm looking forward to doing some home demolition at the weekend

I have put that saw through some hardship and never had a problem except to replace the plug. Beauty is blades are no prob to get. I find the Makita ones or Milwaukee ones the best.
