Strange Nokia Car Part.

Postby Viper » Fri Feb 20, 2004 2:04 pm

Someone was in my car a while back with itchy feet, and they kicked out a strange item from under the footwell of the passenger side of the car. Some kind of small rectangular speaker with Nokia written on it. (Looks like a police walkie-talkie). It has an ordinary phillips screw attached which obviously held it in place, but I cannot for the life of me see where is was originally attached to - there doesn't seem to be any room for it, or anything to attach it to. Also, I checked it with the alarm and radio, and it isn't used for either of them - would it possibly be part of some Japanese hands-free kit? Any opinions greatly appreciated.

Probably a seperate speaker for a handfree kit alright. See if theres any part numbers on the unit and throw them into a seach engine.

Yep, thats what it is alright... I'll have to try to keep it though because it would be configurable with my stereo (it's Nokia Enabled) if I every replaced my mobile with a Nokia.

Well for one thing, I'd finally be able to have the latest pop tunes on my mobile for only €2 per message.

Because they make good phones with decent menu functions!
Methinks pergau works for either Motorola or Siemens :)

Maybe because siemens and motorola have a different car kit for each phone and nokia have 2 car kits that fit 20 odd phones giving plenty of scope for upgrade without having to rip the kit out of your car?
