With or without you.

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Sun Apr 23, 2006 10:37 pm

Took the spoiler off recently as I had to start using the car for meetings etc and didn't want it to look too aggressive.

I had started with the standard spoiler - changed to a bare ass - then went to a Hiro spoiler and now back to bare ass again and I still don't know which look is better.

What do ye think?

I have to say I think it looks really well with no spoiler at all. That's just my personal opinion.

I've never thought of the hiro spoiler as looking at all aggressive myself, but thats just me. Out of the 2 I'd have to say spoilerless looks better.

Its strange that all the FTO forum members prefer the car spoilerless and all my petrolhead and non petrolhead mates prefer the car with the spoiler.

I still don't know myself -

Heres a wider view - I delocked the boot to clean up the lines further -

Sounds to me like you want to keep it MfFTO! I'm not a huge fan of the Hiro, but thats just me, if you like it go for it....

I'm not a huge fan of the Hiro either, so I'd be inclined to stick with a bare a$$...
Why don't you poll this thread?

IMHO no spolier complements the more subtle look especially with the blended skirts - and I think this really suits the other aggressive aspects of the car (e.g. exhaust). I always though the Hiro was a bit OTT tbh, nice but OTT. Maybe I'm just getting old

Agreed - IMO the only time that a spoilerless look suits the FTO is when the car has been lowered with a lower front spoiler and sideskirts and an aftermarket exhaust. As standard it looks a little naff. These mods change the look of the car quite a bit.

The Hiro is probably a little OTT - but I actually quite like it as a spoiler - I'll be leaving it off for the time being. Probably change my mind next month
