Wanted - GR standard exhaust mid section

Postby kevinod » Sun Mar 15, 2009 11:06 pm

Hi all,

I have a hole in my exhaust mid section that I've tried to repair several times, but it's blowing in the same spot again.

So, I'm after a GR standard exhaust mid section in good nick. Anyone have one by any chance?

Kev.

Let me guess it's the section between the cat and backbox? they all go here! good luck. Camskill doin good deals on stainless catback systems plus the club discount. I bit the bullet a few weeks ago after several repairs to mine kept rotting thru from inside out. I got a bluflame 5" catback sounds sweet :D

Yup, the mid section. The backbox is fine so it seems a shame to replace that part. If I can get away with just replacing the mid section it'd be good.

Kev I thought you installed mongoose downpipes a while back, no?

I'd defo chuck the standard setup and throw some money after a stainless setup..

Money well spent, peace of mind and all that.

No, was thinking about it at one stage but repaired the spot that was blowing, but it's blowing now again.

+1. If the back box is actaually in good condition, you could always recoup some of the costs by selling it. You'll find it hard to find an OEM spec mid section at reasonable money.

Just to warn you that might be hard enough, it seems to always be the mid section that goes. I got the full cat-back system when mine went and had to give away the back section. There are very few people looking for them I found.

But I'm with the guys on this one, if you have the money, replace the whole lot with a s/s one, well worth the investment.
